HOW TO GET A TOUR BUS FROM MESTRE (09:00 AM, on each of the two tour days)
Lodging is cheaper in Mestre than in Venice. Think of Mestre as a "bedroom community" with all retail and transport amenities, a short bus ride away from the island of Venice.
If you're staying in Mestre, the tour bus will leave from Viale Ancona (translates into "Ancona Avenue"), in front of NH Laguna Palace Hotel, in Mestre, at 9:00 AM. Do not confuse this hotel with other similarly named hotels in the nearby town of Marghera. The tour bus will not pick delegates from Marghera.
How does one reach Mestre's NH Laguna Palace Hotel from the Mestre train station? From the Mestre train station, take public bus no. 31 or 32 and stop at the Laguna Hotel bus stop. Bus no. 31 or 32 passes every 30 minutes.
A taxi ride from Mestre Train Station to the hotel takes 5 minutes.

In Mestre, our tour bus will depart from outside the NH Laguna Palace Hotel at 9:00 AM on both tour days. The hotel is a 17-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride from the Mestre Train Station. From the Mestre Train Station, one may take public bus no. 31 or 32 to reach the bus stop which is a 5-minute walk away from the Hotel.
